This Rusty-backed Antwren Formicivora rufa showed well in the Cerrado at Chapada dos Guimaraes. To me it looks a bit odd, based on photos I can locate plus the description in Ridgely and Tudor:- The back is not particularly rusty plus the white of the supercilium ends abruptly at the top-rear of the auricular - only reappearing at the bottom of the neck-side; I find this a bit puzzling given that no subspecies are listed for this fairly widespread taxon, but perhaps this discrepancy is due to wear/molt? Also note that the white tips to the retrices - even though they are worn - are MUCH larger than in any photos I can find of this taxon ...:
